Four Ride Forth Session 13 by Giftkrieg23 Four Ride Forth Session 13 by Giftkrieg23

It appears you don't have PDF support in this web browser. Download PDF

“Four Ride Forth” is the first official campaign using my Savage World of My Little Pony module, and playing the party of characters is a hand-picked parcel of rogues that will help test my system more fully and bring the game to life. I hope this game will inspire others to play the system as well, especially as we in the fan community suffer through the long wait until Season 2 is aired. I will maintain a transcript of each game session, which has been edited for clarity and will be made available on my DeviantArt account for everyone to enjoy. The game is run weekly and will conclude sometime in *September-October* of 2011.

This week: The group arrives in the Ponovian port of Tailinn on their search for Root-Of-All. On the way, they meet with a group of unlikely allies...

This session and the next make me think that perhaps I'm being a little too mean to Sunny.

I wouldn't worry too much about it: Sky Chaser can take these incidents in various directions, and either way it's been very amusing to watch!

This session seemed a bit shorter than usual, but I suppose that's to be expected with one party member down.

So nice to see an instant ally in the magus. He seems like a nice fellow...unless he's actually Root-of-All in disguise! Dun dun DUN!!! Either way, this is shaping up to be a grand climax. Can't wait!

Some sessions just end up being a little shorter or longer than usual, it's nothing out of the ordinary. Also, the Magus is a female unicorn.

A very clever disguise indeed...

Also, to comment on your previous point: it's a running joke among the players that almost every pony outside of Equestria is a jerk (though if they had spent more time in Equestria they would have found the same phenomena). I always maintain a large ratio of 'difficult' characters to helpful ones because:
a.) they are fun to play (think again to Monkey Island where a good number of the characters you encounter are either uncaring or needlessly hard on Guybrush)
b.) they make the characters who are genuinely nice (such as Undina) more endearing and valuable to the group: if the ratio was the other way around, they would take nice characters for granted.

You are a sad and lonely man iran.

Also

Dear princess luna

Everyone outside equestria are jerks, we should take them over to show them the true meaning of friendship.

Saltrica is hardly one to talk: how can you expect ponies from other countries to be equitable when she embodies every stereotype they have of Equestrians (privileged, ignorant of troubles outside of their borders, aristocratic, nationalistic, etc)?

She's polite and willing to help, more than i can say for them.

Oh I am not complaining of the frequency of jerky characters, believe me. I wholly agree on making the few nice characters stand out that much more. I was just commenting on this being one such instance. After all, if there weren't obstacles of every sort being thrown at adventurers it wouldn't be nearly as much fun would it?
